Supporting Families at the William-Emslie YMCA Back-to-School Drive

As summer winds down and the school year begins, preparing children with the tools they need to succeed is more important than ever. We’re grateful to the William-Emslie YMCA for welcoming International Child Advancement to their Back-to-School Drive, where we had the privilege of supporting local families in a meaningful way.

Providing Resources for Success

During the event, we distributed 50 backpacks filled with school supplies and children’s books to families in attendance. These essentials may seem small, but they provide students with a strong start giving them confidence and encouragement as they step into a new school year.

Gratitude for Community Support

This impact would not have been possible without the generosity of our partners. A heartfelt thank-you to West Herr and to the many community members who donated much-needed supplies. Your commitment helps ensure that children in our community are equipped to learn, grow, and thrive.

Celebrating Families

We also celebrated parents’ dedication by raffling off a $50 Visa gift card, which was awarded to Mary Ann, one of the parents who attended. Small gestures like these recognize the important role families play in supporting children’s education.
