Meet the 2025 Inaugural Award Recipient:

Hadiyah McClain

In 2025, International Child Advancement awarded the ICA Academic Empowerment Scholarship to Hadiyah McClain, a dedicated pre-med student committed to serving her community. Through initiatives such as organizing food drives and volunteering locally, Hadiyah has consistently demonstrated leadership and compassion.

Today, she is preparing for an exciting new chapter.

"Receiving the ICA Academic Empowerment Scholarship was truly a blessing. It not only provided financial support toward my dream of becoming a physician assistant but also connected me with a wonderful organization that mirrors my own values.”

Hadiyah recently shared that school is going well and she will begin Physician Assistant school this summer, marking an important milestone in her journey toward a career in healthcare.

She also encourages other students to pursue opportunities like this scholarship:

“To other students applying, I would encourage them to always apply no matter what. It’s important to persist even through self-doubt.”

Hadiyah’s story reflects the purpose of the ICA Academic Empowerment Scholarship: helping determined students take the next step toward their goals while strengthening the communities they serve.

ICA Empowerment Scholarship

This year, ICA will award five scholarships of $250 each to help students cover tuition, books, fees, or other educational expenses at an accredited college, university, or vocational program. We invite eligible students to apply and take the next step toward achieving their academic goals.
