Giving Tuesday refers to the Tuesday after U.S. Thanksgiving in the United States. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.
Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.
Striving to build a better world, Giving Tuesday hopes to instill the catalytic power of generosity that is at the heart of the society we build together; unlocking dignity, opportunity and equity around the globe.
Whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes, every act of generosity counts, and each means more when we give together.
This year, it will be held on Tuesday, December 1st. We ask that you share our Facebook Giving Tuesday posts on that day to help increase the ability for us to raise funds.
With Christmas approaching, our goal is to send funds to the orphanage so they can prepare a special meal for the children and provide them with special treats.
