Hope on the Horizon Artwork Contest calls for Local Artists

By Steph Wetzel

ICA is looking to invite local artists to create a design digitally for t-shirts that will be featured during our September 14th art gala. The t-shirt, that will be in the event's fashion show segment, will also be for sale. 100% of the proceeds will benefit underserved children in Buffalo, NY as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

"Hope on the Horizon" is the theme of this year's gala, and is something the artists must keep in mind when creating their designs in addition to ICA's mission which is to empower orphans and underserved children to become self-sufficient. ICA accomplishes this through eduction programs, vocational training and mentoring.

The winner will be based on the artwork that is most closely aligned with the theme, ICA's mission and the essence of ICA's work. The winner will be chosen by a panel for the organization and will receive two tickets to the art gala as well as a $200 Visa gift card.

If you are interested in participating, please submit your contact information and artwork under the "2024 Artwork Contest" tab on the ICA website. You can find the form by clicking the button below. Be sure to read the contest rules and directions carefully. Submissions are due by August 17th.
