Benedicte lost both of her parents at the age of 12 and has since been cared for by GUAOA Orphanage. She hopes one day to go to college so she can study Fashion Design. After Kevin's parents were killed by rebels during the height of the Congo war, he was taken in by GUAOA Orphanage. In 2017, he was paired with an Educational Sponsor who not only donated towards his educational advancement, but also mentored him. Kevin struggled through High School and failed 12th grade which he had to redo, but he persevered forward with the help of his sponsor's mentorship, encouragement and support. In the end, he overcame his academic challenges. Kevin is now enrolled in college, studying Engineering and he hopes one day to have a big impact on the lives of orphans and underprivileged children!
